Our Meetings

All our meetings are in the principle of “mutuality” in which the believers are encouraged to share their experiences of the riches of Christ with one another. Various types of meetings during the week serve different purposes. Find some of the types of meetings we enjoy described below. 1 Cor. 14:26

Lord’s Table Meetings

This meeting may be considered the most important of all our meetings. During this time of singing, praising, praying and sharing Christ is our unique center. All other matters are set aside as the believers honor the person and work of Christ. Special attention is paid to follow the leading of the Spirit in a coordinated way. As the Son declares the Father’s name to His many brothers we display His death and anticipate the promise of His return.

“And they continued steadfastly in the teaching and the fellowship of the apostles, in the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Acts  2:42

Mutual Sharing and Encouragement

Throughout the week, each believer pursues the enjoyment of the riches of Christ in their daily life.  Following the Lord's Table, we share with one another what we have enjoyed in the Scriptures in an open session of mutual teaching and encouragement.  We call this our prophesying meeting.

“My heart overflows with a good matter; I speak what I have composed concerning the King.  My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” Psalm 45:1

“Pursue love, and desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one hears, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries. But he who prophesies speaks building up and encouragement and consolation to men. He who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but he who prophesies builds up the church.” 1 Cor. 14:1, 3, 4

“But if all prophesy and some unbeliever or unlearned person enters, he is convicted by all, he is examined by all; The secrets of his heart become manifest; and so falling on his face, he will worship God, declaring that indeed God is among you. What then, brothers? Whenever you come together, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.” 1 Cor. 14:24-26

“For you can all prophesy one by one that all may learn and all may be encouraged. And the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets; For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.” 1 Cor. 14:31-33

Prayer Meetings

We gather weekly for prayer.

“And when he became aware of this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John, who was surnamed Mark, where there was a considerable number assembled together and praying.” Acts 12:12

“These all continued steadfastly with one accord in prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.” Acts 1:14

Home Meetings:  we meet in various homes and by Zoom during the week.  See announcements for a list of these meetings.

"And day by day, cotinuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house."  Acts 2:46a
